S02 Ep03: Once More Unto the Breach (Incidental Posts)
Location: Counselor's office
Timeline: Post Mission Day 30
Iria was sitting at her desk looking over Padds, the candy dish on her desk had spiral peppermints in it today. One of her top favourites, on most days. Though any that knew her especially well knew she absolutely adored, French mint chocolate. Being female and concerned of her weight though she resisted against having that particular treat except for special dates, birthdays and such. Though she did have a stash of that particular treat in the office, that she left for the rest of the staff to enjoy as well. Much as she enjoyed treats she enjoyed sharing most.
There was one reason why Riabi was currently putting one foot in front of the other on the way to Counselling instead of going the other way - that it was a requirement of Starfleet for flight control certification. Apparently, they preferred the pilots to not be too loopy.
She got a gentle nudge of a memory from her symbiont, Pames, and Riabi realised she had stopped. Pouting and sending back the equivalent of the finger, Riabi continued and pressed the door to the Counselling offices.
Pressing the button, she waited before entering, "Hello, I am Lieutenant Riabi Pames, chief flight controller."
"Hello and make yourself at home, Iria Walon at your service," she said with a light smile of welcome as she nodded towards the empty chairs and small couches about the room. Making it clear she didn't mind changing her position if the CFO didn't wish to sit near the desk, where she was currently working.
Riabi Pames left the office after an hours time, she seemed to be more at ease than when she had arrived and that was a plus in Iria's book. Iria made some notes for a follow up with Riabi and her spouse later. As she was finishing her notes the computer chimed. "it is 1800 hours." Iria shook her head in wry amusement and surprise. She'd worked clean past her lunch hour. There was still work to do and there was still a stack of PaDD's waiting for her attention. Figuring it was gong to be a long night in any case, she got up and ordered a cajun tuna salad sandwich from the replicator. It wasn't often she got it, while she enjoyed it the spices even when replicated always made her eyes water. She took small bites and worked on her notes, then turning her attention to the stack of PaDD's.
